The Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation, Inc. (DAICFI), is a non-stock, non profit organization, organized by parents of children with autism, which provides services for children/persons with autism. Considering that there are very limited facilities in Davao City that will cater to the development needs of children with autism and the very high cost of availing such services, the parents thought of organizing themselves to put up a special education center.

Majority of the members and officers of the Davao Autism Center are also members of the Autism Society Philippines – Davao Chapter, an umbrella organization supported by the Department of Social Welfare and Development FO-XI, a government agency.

In their desire to respond to the needs of their children with autism, they formally organized themselves on November 08, 1996. They registered as a foundation at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on January 30, 1997 and were licensed by DSWD FO-XI to operate as a center for early intervention program for children with autism and other related disorder, thus the birth of the Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation, Inc.
